who we service Β· ways to pay
Three ways to fund your sessions.
I welcome families paying privately, through Medicare, and through the NDIS (self & plan-managed) β across both my early-intervention and school-age therapy streams. Not sure which suits you? Get in touch and I'll help you work it out.
Private pay
The simplest option β no referral, plan or eligibility needed. I invoice you directly after each session and you pay by your preferred method.
No referral neededMedicare
Eligible young people under 25 can access rebated speech pathology under the Medicare Eligible Disability (M10) pathway β expanded from 1 March 2026 to include stuttering, speech sound disorders and cleft lip/palate (alongside autism and other eligible conditions).
GP or specialist referralndis NDIS
As a non-registered NDIS provider, I support participants whose plans are self-managed or plan-managed, under Capacity Building β Improved Daily Living.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Medicare pathway work?
- 1. Book a longer GP appointment and ask about the M10 Eligible Disability pathway for speech pathology. Your GP or specialist provides a referral.
- 2. I complete an assessment and report back to your GP (up to 8 assessment sessions across a lifetime).
- 3. Your GP issues a treatment referral in blocks of up to 10 sessions β up to 20 treatment sessions across a lifetime. After the first 10, a quick GP review unlocks the rest.
Medicare pays a rebate toward each session (currently $87.25) rather than the full fee, so an out-of-pocket gap usually applies. You can't claim Medicare and NDIS for the same session. Eligibility is decided by your GP β I'm happy to talk it through.
How does NDIS invoicing work?
- Plan-managed? I send my invoice straight to your plan manager, who pays me from your funding β no out-of-pocket cost to you.
- Self-managed? I invoice you directly, you pay, then claim it back through the myplace participant portal.
- NDIA (agency) managed? Non-registered providers can't be claimed against agency-managed plans yet β but get in touch and I'll point you in the right direction.
Every invoice clearly lists the support item code, session date, hours and rate β simple for you or your plan manager to process. I follow the NDIS Code of Conduct and welcome any feedback or concerns at any time.
Do I need a referral or diagnosis to get started?
Not for private sessions β you can reach out and book directly, with no referral or diagnosis needed. A GP or specialist referral is required for the Medicare pathway, and NDIS participants can use the funding already in their plan.
What ages do you work with?
I welcome people of all ages β from early intervention with our youngest communicators right through to children, teens and adults. Support is always tailored to each person's stage of life, their strengths and the communication goals that matter most to them.
